Digitalia MUNI ARTS is a research infrastructure whose main purpose is to support digital research in the humanities and arts at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University (FF MU). The aim is to make available and preserve research data and research results of academics working at the FF MU in the long term, to enrich their metadata and thus enable other ways of data processing, to support research by making available tools and preparing a virtual research environment enabling the development and strengthening of scientific collaboration and further exploitation of research data. Digitalia MUNI ARTS is responsible for the transfer and long-term storage of research data and digital objects of selected research or grant projects together with their virtual research environment enabling further data analysis. It strives for the long-term preservation of data according to current standards of good practice.

The role of the Digitalia MUNI ARTS research infrastructure implemented on the platform of the Islandora repository system is defined in the Strategic Plan of the MU Faculty of Arts MU formulated with a view to 2028.
