Valuable research data deserves proper and long-term care.
The data and platforms integrated into the Digitalia MUNI ARTS infrastructure are managed by specialists in (digital) data curation.
The digital curator controls the quality of the data, selects appropriate metadata standards, models and structures the data and metadata when transferring it to the infrastructure, and determines appropriate licenses. He/she is responsible for interoperability (interoperability of platforms and infrastructure as a whole with external systems) and application of principles for effective research data sharing (FAIR principles).
In the long term, he/she monitors the development of data formats and metadata standards stored in Digitalia MUNI ARTS and, in case of their obsolescence, initiates their migration to new formats and standards. This ensures the continuity and functionality of the platforms in a changing research environment.
