Use the faculty research infrastructure to store, access and protect your scientific data for the long term.
Academics can store their research data in the Digitalia MUNI ARTS infrastructure. Storage is just one of the features we offer, in addition to which we can provide e.g. advanced searching, customized user interface, integration of external tools, long-term archivation, etc. When research data enters the faculty infrastructure, we distinguish three cases:
- Datasets: Instant storage and publication of research data. This service is especially appreciated by researchers who need to fulfill the requirement of grant agencies. When uploading, the researcher provides the necessary metadata to his dataset, which is checked by a digital curator. Before uploading a dataset, it is possible to request a check of the formal parameters of the data (consistency, validity, homogenity, etc.). The datasets must meet the specified requirements. Ingest metadata and data files via the form (the system requires a login to MU intranet).
- Data platforms (databases) from completed projects: Existing data platforms can be transferred to the Digitalia MUNI ARTS infrastructure. This transfer is financed from the infrastructure budget, defined criteria are applied to assess the suitability of the platform for transfer. If you are interested, please contact us.
- Data from ongoing projects: The creation of the new platform is paid for by the researcher from his/her own project, so it is necessary to consult with the Digitalia MUNI ARTS team before submitting the project in order to plan the scope of collaboration covered by the project funds.
